Juniata Mennonite School
Testimonies

Rory Daulton, teacher

I have taught in four Christian schools in three countries, and I must say that Juniata Mennonite  School has been the most enjoyable for me. JMS combines a love for God, for truth, for students,  and for the community better than other schools. All teachers work together and help each other,  using our individual skills to our full abilities. The school is parent-run and this shows in the interest  parents take in the school and in the progress of their children. New teachers are given mentors to  aid their transition to JMS. This is a school that truly glorifies God by bearing fruit that remains (John  15:16).

Susan Allen, secretary and parent

As a personal testimony, I would like to tell you of our experience here at JMS. We have four  children that have been entrusted here for the past three years.  My husband and I have always had  our children enrolled in Christian education starting at a school in the Harrisburg area, where we  were originally living.  We moved to Perry County nine years ago and were searching for another  Christian school to fulfill our desire of a Biblical education for our children.  We stumbled upon JMS  through new friends and discovered that a family did not need to be from the Mennonite church to  attend here. I came to Open House to investigate the information I had become aware of and   almost cried after leaving here. This was the kind of Christian school my husband and I had always  dreamed of for our children.  The community of students, staff and families, were and are very down  to earth. Being a part of JMS is like having an extended family.  Our children all have friends who  come from Bible teaching, like-minded families.  In this era of uncertainty, I cannot express how  important it is to educate children with God's love wrapped around and through them.      There are so many advantages and blessings of a Biblical education for your children that unfold  and blossom on a daily basis that will not be realized at a secular school.  As part of the staff here, I  have been privileged to see God's amazing work in the lives of everyone in the JMS family.  We  have seen tragedy bring our entire student body together as an extension of God's hand to reach  out to each other in comfort and prayer.  We have also witnessed the joy of students accepting the  Lord as their personal savior through the gentle nurturing of their friends and teachers.  These are  the blessings that make a Christian education worthy and of utmost importance in spreading the  Truth of God's Word
